I am an extremely shy person and I almost chickened out because I didn’t have anything for him to sign or didn’t have anything really important to say…excuses. This sort of opportunity was something I’d never imagine. If any of you guys have watched Gotham on FOX, you know him as Young Bruce Wayne. Of all the cool things I was able to get and some authors I met (JJ Sherwood, Carey Corp, and Lydia Sherrer), one of the best experiences was meeting David Mazouz.

A book series by Lydia Sherrer and some smaller mystery items from Harry Potter.Ĭosplay is a wonderful aspect of comic cons and while Megan and I didn’t really have the chance to go all out, we saw some amazing cosplays! One group of Harry Potter cosplayers let me take a picture with them

A framed Flash poster signed by Grant Gustin. I purchased a map of Hyrule poster, an 12-hole Ocarina, and Legend of Zelda manga. There was a wide variety of stuff that I got. It might have just encouraged us to buy more stuff! So, everything considered, I’m proud of myself! With all the stuff we got, we had to get larger bags than the ones we brought, which worked out for the better. I had given myself a limit on how much to spend and by the end, I went slightly over. In terms of buying things, we weren’t really sure what’d we even get, but by the first booth we stopped and bought something. Walking inside, there was so much to look at, thus the “Sorry, I was distracted,” and I kind of felt overwhelmed. Seeing the floor for the first time, I had this feeling of: Panoramic view of “one” side of the floor… On our way to get our bands, we found the upper viewing deck and saw what the floor looked like from above and it was fantastic. When we first arrived at the convention center, we weren’t completely sure where to go to activate our pre-paid tickets, but we eventually figured it out.

Megan and I both thought that experiencing one full day at a con would give us an idea of what we’re were getting ourselves into, and I think that worked for the best. As this was our first con, we wanted to be prepared and we came into the whole thing with a basic plan. Now, this wasn’t for the Stan Lee price (even though that would have been amazing), this was just for Sunday (general). Megan had seen the post about the Cincinnati Expo on Facebook and she shared it tagging me and said, “this sounds so cool!! The tickets to meet Stan Lee though are like $350!” Normally, this sort of comment would have me respond with something like, “Cool!” or “That’s a bit of money…” and that’d be that. It was a total blast!! We met so many nice people and I got to meet David Mazouz! This was my first ever comic con experience and I went with one of my best friends, Megan Loose (this was also her first time). That was the most common phrase I heard at the Cincinnati Comic Con Expo, and it fits so well!
